Curls that Last

Finally, the web has given us a tutorial that actually works for curling hair! Like Amy, I too have  been frustrated that my curls never look the way I want them too. I tried her method once and fell in love. Amy talks about how this comes out a little bit more rugged than the typical curl, and I think that’s part of the charm.

Here is how mine turned out two different times:

I am going crazy. As a make-up enthusiast, deals like this drive me absolutely nuts. I. Want. EVERYTHING. Literally.

However, make-up purchases should be done with much prudence so I am probably not going to get anything. For others trying to build a nice make-up collection, the EM new colors section is a great place to start.

When Doctor Flash let me borrow his memory card, I managed to find pictures of myself from last summer.

This will be the only one I show you, because this is the only one I can bare to look at. I knew I had awful skin, but I didn’t know it was that bad.

When I look at these two pictures, I’m amazed at how much my skin has improved, and when I think about it, I have my love affair with Neutrogena to thank.

I don’t remember my high school graduation season being this busy, but it seems so many days in May until right before the commencement exercises is booked for some dinner, some ceremony, some tribute. By complete coincidence, I bought a dress on sale at Delias which I think I’ll wear for an event next week.

I don’t know why, but I think clutches are ultra feminine. This is why when I was hanging around Delias.com and came across these babies, I was uber pleased. :)

Staying Moisturized

If the weather yesterday is any indication, this year’s summer is coming with a vengeance. Time to take out all of the pretty dresses that have been put all the way in the back of your closet in some sort of forced leave.

But wearing dresses means that your skin has to be ready to show off. Dry skin is a no-no if you’re showing off those gorgeous legs and arms (not to mention that tan we both know you worked hard for). And if you’re like me, creams and lotions are no-no for the heat either because they tend to get sticky and icky quickly (unintentional rhyme there). So what’s a girl to do?

A Quick Rant About My Hair

I find zero comfort in the fact that according to Conair’s heat setting-hair type table for their curling iron, my hair is considered “very resistant.” Whyyyyy. On the upside, thank god there is such a setting because I would otherwise not be able to enjoy gorgeous wavy hair, albeit only before bed time. Nyaha.
