Summer Care

I love summer! No matter how much I love summer, however, my skin has to be at its best, if I want to rock it under the sun. Here are a few things on my list that help me and my skin feel absolutely lovely.

Are your legs ready for summer?

1. Trusty sunblock

No thanks to pollution, it is now easier to get sunburned. Some beauty products may also cause blemishes when the skin is exposed to the sun directly. One should therefore never leave the house without some kind of sun protection, whether just walking around the city or hitting the shore.

2. Lightweight lippies

In the summer, our lips take as much hit from the sun (and ocean water) as our skin. To have chap-and-peel free lips, remember to keep your choice of a lippie in your purse.

3. After sun lotion

Wearing sunblock is only half the process of taking care of your skin. After sun exposure, your skin’s moisture needs to be refreshed and your skin needs to be cooled after all that heat *sizzle*. When your skin is moisturized, you also avoid those unsightly peelings that happen when you’ve spent some swell time under the sun.

Fun fact about this Ocean Potion product, it actually helps keep your skin’s tan! I am guilty of using this occasionally in the cold months.

4. Hat and sunglasses

Shield your eyes from the bright light of the sun! No, really. (Sorry, sunglasses not pictured.)
